Every previous subsidy programme in Kenya was captured — fertiliser meant for farmers appeared in shops across the border within weeks.
The national farmer registration platform now holds 6.15 million verified farmers. Subsidised inputs are redeemed against a national ID, a registered plot and a mobile number. A record exists of who collected what, where, and when.
The register is also the delivery rail for extension services, weather advisories, crop insurance and the school feeding programme's local procurement — one identity system serving the whole agricultural economy.
